Ohrid- gradot na svetlinata
Vo jugozapadniot del na Makedonija, 200 km oddalecen od glavniot grad Skopje, se naoga Balkanskiot biser- Ohridskoto ezero,a na negoviot breg, vo podnozjeto na nacionalniot park Galicica se naoga Ohrid , gradot na slovenskite prosvetiteli brakata sv.Kliment i Metodij. Ovoj grad e srceto na Makedonija od koj se sirel i se siri duhot na makedonskata kultura i umetnost. Vo desetiot vek sv.Pantelejmon (Klimentoviot univerzitet) bil prviot Slovenski univerzitet a denes e grad vo koj vo tekot na letniot period mozete da uzivate vo sodrzinite koi se nudat vo ramkite na festivalot Ohridsko leto; od koncerti na vrvni svetski iminja do teatarski pretstavi. Nekogas grad na 365 crkvi’, denes Ohrid vi gi otvara vratite na golemiot broj crkvi i manastiri koi se nase nacionalno bogatstvo i cuvari na topliot i kreativen duh na makedonskiot covek. Ovde, po Ohridskite sokaci, vo Ohridskata casija moze da se pocuvstvuvaat damarite na nasiot narod.

Ohrid – the City of Brightness
In the southeastern part of Macedonia, 200 kilometres of the capital city of Skopje, there is the Pearl of the Balkan – The Lake of Ohrid; on the lakes shore and in the foot of Galicica National Park, there is the city of Ohrid – the city of St Clement of Ohrid, the disciple of Saints Cyril and Methodius. This town is the heart of Macedonia which has been spreading culture and art ever since the time of the great teachers of the Enlightenment. In the 10th century, St Panteleimon, attributed to Clement of Ohrid, was the first Slavic university.
Nowadays, in summer, you can enjoy the events of the Ohrid Summer Festival, ranging from concerts of leading world musicians to enchanting theatre performances. Once the town of 365 churches, Ohrid today opens for you the gates of the numerous churches and monasteries which are our national treasure and guardians of the warm and creative spirit of Macedonian people.
